Finding strength in times of insecurity

Stand in solidarity with survivors of gender-based violence

Two billion people live in areas affected by conflict. In the last year, the UN found a 50% increase in conflict-related sexual violence. Gender roles typically intensify, giving rise to targeted violence against women and girls as well as LGBTQ+ people of all genders. Men in conflict are subjected to sexual violence to a greater extent then previously assumed; often they are silenced and abandoned.

Together, we are called upon to respond.

The core mission of Common Threads Project is to ensure a lasting recovery from the trauma of sexual and gender-based violence. Our work provides the chance for survivors to heal together, in community and become vital members of their communities again.  As they stitch their stories of trauma into cloth, each stitch becomes a vital part of their recovery and an entry point into a multi-dimensional therapeutic process.

There is no better way to strengthen ourselves in times of insecurity than to help others in their healing journey. Join us to ensure that survivors get the support they deserve.

Your gift helps them heal from gender-based violence and brings hope for a more peaceful future for all.
